HomeMy WebLinkAbout23-046 Amending a Lease Agreement with Allina Ambulance for Portions of Fire Station 2 and Authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to Execute 4646 Dakota Street SE Prior Lake, MN 55372 RESOLUTION 23-46 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LEASE AGREEMENT WITH ALLINA HEALTH SYSTEMS FOR PORTIONS OF FIRE STATION 2 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE Motion By: Burkart Second By: Braid WHEREAS, Allina Health Systems provides ambulance services to the Prior Lake area; and WHEREAS, Allina Health Systems leases space in strategic locations in the area to provide their services; and WHEREAS, Allina Health Systems desires to continue to lease 1,000 square feet within the building including one half bay for one ambulance and 120-150 square feet office room for staff; and WHEREAS, the leased space in Fire Station 2 is beneficial to Allina Health Systems and the City of Prior Lake and persons being served by these emergency services; and WHEREAS, the current lease agreement with Allina Health Systems expires on March 31, 2023 and both Allina and the City of Prior Lake wish to extend this agreement for an additional 5 years. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to enter into an amended lease agreement with Allina Health Systems for space in Fire Station 2. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 20th day of March 2023.
