Police Officers Update
7
Currently have one officer who has just completed field training, a second in field training and 3 in the background process. There is one yet-unfilled FTE spot that was created by a
retirement in May.
We have one experienced Sergeant leaving for another opportunity to work as a full-time investigator that will create another sworn position as well as a promotional opportunity to the
Sgt’s rank.
We are evaluating staffing levels ahead of numerous planned absences due to new and exciting family arrivals this Fall!
These gaps in staffing highlight and emphasize the extreme difficulty in not only hiring for basic needs but the critical need to “staff-up” in excess of those minimum needs.
