CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 3:40 p.m. In attendance were Erin Belanger Braid, Alejandra Pelinka, La- Vonne Augustson, Marie Boucher-Hoese, and Community Development Director Casey McCabe. 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA A. Group approved the agenda 3. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES A. Group approved the September 22, 2022 meeting minutes. 4. PRESENTATIONS A. None 5. NEW BUSINESS A. Nonprofit Formation Belanger Braid informed the committee that she has contacted an attorney and accountant to set up meet- ings to discuss the process and requirements for nonprofit formation. ACC Members discussed potential names for the ACC. Augustson suggested PLACE (Prior Lake Arts and Culture for Everyone). Pelinka suggested the creation of a mission statement for the nonprofit may help facilitate the naming dis- cussion. This item will be placed on the December agenda for additional discussion. B. 2022 ACC Accomplishments Belanger Braid compiled a list of 2022 ACC accomplishments that she will be distributing to the committee members for review and encouraged committee members to add additional accomplishments that may have been missed. 6. OLD BUSINESS A. Prior Lake Community Artist RFQ Pelinka provided an overview of the draft Community Artist RFQ and based on the committee discussion, she will be making some minor edits prior to its presentation to the EDA for approval and authorization to distribute. Pelinka requested a map of downtown Prior Lake to include in the RFQ and suggested an arts page on the city website be available to host all information related to the RFQ. Committee members discussed visiting downtown businesses to prepare a list of property owners poten- tially interested in making their property available for public art. Once assembled, this information would be made available to the community artist once selected. Belanger Braid suggested a continued effort to coordinate with the Prior Lake Chamber to raise awareness of the ACC and the Community Artist program. B. Arts and Culture Committee Draft Strategic Plan Review McCabe provided an overview of the draft Strategic Plan. The plan identifies short- mid- and long-term strategic initiatives as well as a brief description and anticipated cost and funding source for each item. Committee members were encouraged to review the plan and provide any comments or suggestions to McCabe so a final draft can be completed and presented to the EDA for approval. 7. OTHER BUSINESS A. Staff Updates None B. ACC Member Comments / Ideas Committee members discussed items for the December meeting agenda including how to best implement the planned 2023 projects, formation of a panel to review RFQ responses, finalizing 2022 accomplishments, and selecting a name for the nonprofit organization. C. Hoċokata Ti (2:30 p.m. on December 15th) Belanger-Braid reminded the committee that the next ACC meeting will be held at Hoċokata Ti on December 15th. A tour will be provided starting at 2:30 p.m. followed by the regular ACC meeting. D. Confirm December Meeting Date The committee confirmed the only meeting in December will be held at Hoċokata Ti on December 15th. 8. ADJOURN The meeting was adjourned at 4:15 pm.
