HomeMy WebLinkAbout23-133 2023 3rd Q Resolution - Approval of a Resolution Accepting Donations and Grant 4646 Dakota Street SE Prior Lake, MN 55372 RESOLUTION 23-133 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS AND GRANTS IN THE 3RD QUARTER OF 2023 Motion By: Braid Second By: Churchill WHEREAS, MN Statute 465.03 requires that cities accept donations for the benefit of its citizens in accordance with the terms prescribed by the donor; and WHEREAS, MN Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real or personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body by two-thirds of its members; and WHEREAS, additional revenues received may require the City to incur additional expenditures in order to comply with grant agreements and restricted donations; and WHEREAS, the City has received the following donations of money, goods or property during July, August and September of 2023: Donor Value Designated Use Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community $550,000.00 3rd/4th Quarter 2023 Police Scott County $29.99 SHIP Grant City of Shakopee $2,017.18 TZD Grant Metropolitan Council $16.64 Water Efficiency Rebate Grant Mike Henry $2,250.00 Memorial Bench Carol Juell $2,650.00 Memorial Bench Diane Arnold $2,650.00 Memorial Bench Diane Ball $2,250.00 Memorial Bench Scott County $3,722.00 Recycling Grant PL Lions Club $4,000.00 150th Anniversary Event Prior Lake Savage Optimists Club $2,000.00 Youth Programs Anonymous $532.00 Wooden Box Donations NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. City staff is authorized to amend the budget to comply with grant agreements and restrictive donations. 3.
