RESOLUTION 24-011 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A NEW VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE FOR WELL 6 Motion By: LAKE Second By: BRAID
WHEREAS, The variable frequency drive (VFD) at Well 6 has failed and needs to be replaced to avoid further disruption to the water distribution system; and WHEREAS, Automatic Systems Co., a contractor that is familiar with the components of the city’s water distribution system, has provided a quote in the amount of $21,663 for the purchase and installation of a new VFD; and WHEREAS, Staff recommends accepting the quote from Automatic Systems Co. and proceeding with this project. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE,
MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The Mayor and City Manager hereby accept the quote from Automatic Systems Co. in the amount of $21,663 and authorize staff to move forward with the project.
3. Funding Funding for the purchase and installation of the new VFD will come from the Water
Utility Fund 601-49400.00-52200.61 (Repair & Maint Supplies Wells). Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 23rd day of January 2024. VOTE Briggs Braid Burkart Churchill Lake Aye ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒
