RESOLUTION 24-016 A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL OF A TEMPORARY 30-FOOT EXTENSION FOR THE MITCHELL POND HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION DOCK Motion By: BRAID Second By: BURKART
WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS,
the Mitchell Pond Homeowners Association (HOA) is located on the southern shore of Lower Prior Lake; and
the HOA has an existing dock system on PID 251550260 and PID 251550270 consisting of one dock measuring 160 feet long and two docks measuring approximately 20 feet providing 23 boat slips for use by property owners within the plat of Mitchell Pond; and due to low water levels, the HOA requested approval of a temporary 30-foot extension to the dock system for the 2024 boating season to ensure all slips are able to reach navigable waters; and WHEREAS, the Prior Lake City Council agrees to granting approval of a temporary 30-foot dock extension to the HOA. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The City Council hereby approves a temporary 30-foot extension to the dock system for
the 2024 boating season subject to the following condition: The angle of the HOA dock shall be shifted to the northwest to ensure the HOA dock or fingers do not cross over an extended property line between the HOA property and the 5172 Hope Street property.
3. The sole purpose of this dock extension is to allow the HOA to reach navigable water depth for watercraft. The number of permitted slips shall remain at 23. 4. This temporary extension is for the 2024 boating season only. Any dock extensions in future years would require separate City Council approval.
