RESOLUTION 24-042 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND RATIFYING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE LAKESIDE SEWER LINING PROJECT (CP 2021-14) Motion By: Burkart Second By: Lake
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 23-077, adopted on May 15, 2023, the City’s consultant, SEH has prepared plans and specifications for the Lakeside Sewer Lining Project (CP 2021-14); and WHEREAS, the advertisement for bids was published on April 20, 2024, with a bid opening proposed for June 3, 2024. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, are hereby approved.
3. The City Engineer shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper of the City and on QuestCDN an advertisement for bids for the making of the improvement pursuant to the attached plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published not less than 10
days prior to the bid opening, shall specify the work to be done, and shall state that the bids will be received by the City of Prior Lake at 11:00 a.m. on June 3, 2024, at which time the bids will be publicly read. Bids will then be tabulated and will be considered by the City Council at the June 25, 2024, City Council meeting. No bids will be considered unless filed before the deadline through QuestCDN and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City of Prior Lake in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of such a bid.
4. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason as determined solely by the City Council. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 23rd day of April 2024. VOTE Briggs Braid Burkart Churchill Lake Aye ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒
