RESOLUTION 24-055 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE ESTATE LIFT STATION REHABILITATION PROJECT (CP 2023-10) Motion By: LAKE Second By: CHURCHILL
WHEREAS, lift station pumps and components are generally recommended for replacement or rehabilitation every 15-20 years; and WHEREAS, based on the most recent inspection and the overall condition of the Estate lift station, the following work is proposed:
• Replace existing pumps, control panel, piping and valves
• Add bypass/valve manhole
• Replace existing wet well top slabs and hatches
• Miscellaneous piping and site work, including replacement of existing driveway; and WHEREAS, the project was advertised for bidding and the following bids were received and publicly opened on May 7, 2024:
Company Bid
Minger Construction Companies, Inc. $378,000.00
Pember Companies, Inc. $384,300.00
Bituminous Roadways, Inc. $394,565.00
PCiRoads, LLC $557,000.00
R&R Excavating, Inc. $571,760.10
and WHEREAS, WSB & Associates, Inc., the City’s consulting engineer for this project,
recommends awarding the contract to Minger Construction Companies, Inc. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The City Council authorizes a contract with Minger Construction Companies, Inc. in the amount of $378,000 for the Estate Lift Station Rehabilitation Project (CP 2023-10). 3. Funding will come from the Sewer Utility Fund.
