RESOLUTION 24-064 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST FOR STATE DEED TO PURCHASE TAX-FORFEITED LAND IN SCOTT COUNTY Motion By: BRAID Second By: CHURCHILL
WHEREAS, the City and Scott County are continuing to work towards the conveyance of CH 87 (Revere Way) from CH 21 to 180th Street from Scott County to the City and Spring Lake Township; and WHEREAS, as part of the conveyance process, there is a tax-forfeited parcel that was purchased by Scott County that will need to be transferred to the City; and WHEREAS, as a tax-forfeited parcel, it is necessary for the County to convey the parcel back to the State of Minnesota, and for the City to then request the purchase of the parcel from the State; and
WHEREAS, the parcel was previously annexed into the City and is entirely located within the road right-of-way. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute the Request for State Deed to Purchase Tax-Forfeited Land in Scott County document. 3. Funding for this transaction shall come from the Street Fund. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 11th day of June 2024.
