HomeMy WebLinkAbout24-081 Authorize Feasibility Report and WOs - 2026-2027 Pavement Management Project (CP 2026-01) 4646 Dakota Street SE Prior Lake, MN 55372 RESOLUTION 24-081 A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF A FEASIBILITY REPORT, APPROVING A WORK ORDER WITH BOLTON & MENK, INC., AND APPROVING A WORK ORDER WITH WSB & ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR THE 2026-2027 PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT PROJECT (CP 2026-01) Motion By: Lake Second By: Braid WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes $16,503,000 for the pavement and utility improvements to 5.1 miles of Northwood Rd NW, Fremont Ave NW, and their side streets; and WHEREAS, a feasibility report is needed to determine the best options for construction and financing for this 2-year project; and WHEREAS, Bolton & Menk, Inc., a member of the city’s consultant pool, has provided a proposal in the amount of $281,500 to develop the feasibility report and provide project management and public engagement services during the “feasibility stage” for this project; and WHEREAS, WSB & Associates, Inc., a member of the city’s consultant pool, has provided a proposal in the amount of $29,548 to provide a geotechnical evaluation and coring services for this project; and WHEREAS, Staff recommends executing the work orders with Bolton & Menk, Inc. and WSB & Associates, Inc. to provide the services necessary to proceed with the development of the feasibility report. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a work order with Bolton & Menk, Inc. in the amount of $281,500 for the development of the feasibility report, project management, and public engagement services for the “feasibility stage” of the 2026-2027 Pavement Management Project (2026-01). 3. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a work order with WSB & Associates, Inc. in the amount of $29,548 for a geotechnical evaluation and coring services for the 2026-2027 Pavement Management Project (2026-01). 4. The funding for this project is included in the city’s Capital Improvement Program.
