RESOLUTION 24-102 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE LAKESIDE SEWER LINING PROJECT (CP 2021-14) Motion By: Braid Second By: Churchill
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 24-042, adopted on April 3, 2024, the City received plans and specifications for the Lakeside Sewer Lining project, and the advertisement for bids was scheduled for publication on July 22 and July 29, 2024 with a bid
opening of August 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.; and WHEREAS, the following bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law:
Company Total Bid
J.C. Dillion, Inc. $1,195,629.00
Michels Trenchless, Inc. $5,031,208.64
and WHEREAS, the City’s consulting engineer, Short Elliot Hendrickson, Inc. has provided a
recommendation letter to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, J.C. Dillion, Inc. in the amount of $1,195,629. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The bids and tabulation worksheet, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, are hereby received.
3. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute the City’s standard contract with J.C. Dillion, Inc. in the amount of $1,195,629. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 24th day of September, 2024. VOTE Briggs Braid Burkart Churchill Lake
