HomeMy WebLinkAbout5A_14535 Pine Rd NE Variance Extension 4646 Dakota Street SE Prior Lake, MN 55372 PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA REPORT MEETING DATE: November 13, 2024 AGENDA #: 5A PREPARED BY: PRESENTED BY: Paul Moretto, Planner Paul Moretto AGENDA ITEM: Continue a Previously Tabled Variance Request for a Property at 14535 Pine Road NE DISCUSSION: Introduction On October 28th, 2024, the Planning Commission, acting as the Board of Adjustment, held a public hearing on the proposed variance to consider an application from Bradley Rixmann, the property owner, and Warren Israelson, the applicant, for variances from the front yard setback, corner-side yard setback, adjacent structure setback, rear yard setback from the ordinary high water level, and maximum impervious surface for the purpose of constructing a new home at 14535 Pine Road NE. Following the public hearing, the Planning Commission voted to table the item so that staff and the applicant could explore design alternatives to reduce the requested vari- ances. Staff and the applicant have been working toward an alternative that would improve the site while meeting the needs of the applicant. At this time, the applicant requires more time to work through plan revisions and is asking for this item to be tabled to a future meeting. Alternative: 1. Motion and second to continue a previously tabled variance request for a property at 14535 Pine Road NE to a future meeting. Recommended Alternative: Alternative No. 1
