RESOLUTION 24-131 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A WORK ORDER TO PREPARE A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE HORKEY PARK BOARDWALK REHABILITATION PROJECT (2025-08) Motion By: Braid Second By: Lake
WHEREAS, the Horkey Park boardwalk has been investigated and analyzed from an engineering and structural perspective, resulting in its permanent closure in spring 2023; and
WHEREAS, there are multiple approaches to correcting the deficiencies through rehabilitation and/or reconstruction, and each approach has associated costs, advantages and risks; and WHEREAS, WSB & Associates, Inc., a member of the City’s consultant pool, has provided a proposal to perform a geotechnical analysis and prepare a feasibility report for the project; and WHEREAS, staff recommend approving the work order with WSB to perform this work. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The City Council approves a work order with WSB & Associates, Inc. in the amount of
$29,600 to perform geotechnical analysis and prepare a feasibility report for the Horkey Park boardwalk rehabilitation project. 3. The cost for the feasibility report will be paid in 2025 from the Professional Services GLs in
Parks (101-45200.00-53100.80) and Water Quality (602-49420.00-53100.80). Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 26th day of November, 2024. VOTE Briggs Braid Burkart Churchill Lake Aye ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒
