RESOLUTION 25-001 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A WORK ORDER FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT FILTER MEDIA REPLACEMENT PROJECT (2023-08) Motion By: Braid Second By: Churchill
WHEREAS, the filter media at the water treatment plant is 16 years old, with a typical lifespan of 15-20 years old; and WHEREAS, WSB & Associates, Inc. has performed an evaluation of the filter media and ancillary equipment and recommends replacing the filter media over the next two years; and WHEREAS, WSB & Associates, Inc., a member of the City’s consultant pool, has provided a proposal in the amount of $46,760 to provide the design, bidding administration, construction administration, and inspection services for the filter replacement project; and WHEREAS, staff recommend approving the work order with WSB to perform this work. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The City Council approves a work order with WSB & Associates, Inc. in the amount of
$46,760 to perform engineering services for the water treatment plant filter media replacement project. 3. The cost for this work order will be spread out over two years in 2025 and 2026, and will be
paid from the Water Utility fund. The CIP includes $850,000 for this project. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 14th day of January, 2025. VOTE Briggs Braid Churchill Lake Hellier Aye ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒
