RESOLUTION 25-066 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE QUOTE AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONTROL PANEL REPLACEMENT AT THREE CITY LIFT STATIONS Motion By: Braid Second By: Lake
WHEREAS, The current Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for the sanitary sewer system provides monitoring capabilities only but not the desired remote control capabilities; and WHEREAS, The City Council approved a work order with Barr Engineering on July 17, 2023, to conduct an evaluation of the City’s SCADA system for both the water supply system and the sanitary sewer system; and WHEREAS, Barr Enginerring provided the city with a report of recommendations in August 2024, which includes specific recommendations to fully integrate each lift station into the SCADA system; and
WHEREAS, Total Control System, Inc. has provided a quote in the amount of $116,442 to provide, install, and program three new control panels at the Lakeside,
Forsythe and Fremont lift stations; and WHEREAS, Staff recommends awarding the contract to Total Control Systems, Inc. to
maintain consistency, continuity, and efficiency for this critically important function of wastewater management. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The City Council authorizes a contract with Total Control Systems, Inc. in the amount of $116,442 for control panel replacement at three city lift stations. 3. Funding will come from the Sewer Utility Fund. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 13th day of May, 2025. VOTE Briggs Braid Churchill Lake Hellier
