RESOLUTION 25-067 RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH RAPP STRATEGIES FOR PARK AND TRAIL SYSTEM PLAN COMMUNICATIONS Motion By: Braid Second By: Lake
WHEREAS, the Prior Lake City Council recognizes the need for continued strategic communications services to enhance community engagement and outreach efforts about the City’s Park and Trail System Plan; and WHEREAS, Rapp Strategies, Inc submitted a proposal outlining specific actions for the continuation of services; and WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
Rapp Strategies, Inc has demonstrated a strong understanding of the Parks Plan and the unique needs of Prior Lake; and
the quality and effectiveness of services performed by Rapp Strategies, Inc under the current contract have consistently met expectations; and WHEREAS, WHEREAS,
the results of a recent community survey suggest the City should continue communications efforts about the Parks Plan; and
the City Council finds that extending the contract to Rapp Strategies, Inc through November 2025 is in the best interest of the City of Prior Lake. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute the City’s standard contract with Rapp Strategies in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the proposal, for an amount not to exceed $5,000 per month for the months of June through November 2025.
3. Contract payments will be coded to 101-45200.00-53100.80 Parks – Professional Services. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 13th day of May, 2025.
