RESOLUTION 25-105 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ORDERING OF FIRE CHIEF 3 (UNIT 9202)
Motion By: Braid Second By: Churchill WHEREAS, the 2026 Equipment CIP includes $70,000 for the replacement of Fire Chief 3
(9202) which is a 2018 Ford Explorer with 49,700 miles; and WHEREAS, staff recommend ordering the replacement unit, a 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe, at
this time to maximize the likelihood of getting this unit into service in 2026; and WHEREAS, staff also recommend keeping the existing Explorer as a spare unit that can be used for large scale calls when additional vehicles are needed (this spare unit will not be scheduled for replacement in the CIP). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The Mayor and City Manager hereby authorize staff to order Fire Chief 3 (9202) as recommended in the report.
3. Funding for this vehicle is included in the 2026 Equipment CIP, to be paid when the unit is delivered in 2026.
