HomeMy WebLinkAbout25-136 Accepting Dontations and Grants to the City During the 3rd Quarter 20254646 Dakota Street SE Prior Lake, MN 55372 RESOLUTION 25-136 Motion By: Braid Second By: Lake WHEREAS, MN Statute 465.03 requires that cities accept donations for the benefit of its citizens in accordance with the terms prescribed by the donor; and WHEREAS, MN Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real or personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing body by two-thirds of its members; and WHEREAS, additional revenues received may require the City to incur additional expenditures in order to comply with grant agreements and restricted donations; and WHEREAS, the City has received the following donations of money, goods or property during July, August, and September of 2025: Donor Value Designated Use City of Shakopee $6,265.30 TZD Grant Metropolitan Council $415.89 Water Efficiency Rebate Grant Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community $350,000.00 3rd Quarter 2025 Police State of Minnesota $53,170.87 TH 13 Trail Connection State of Minnesota $133,448.99 Affordable Housing State Aid Anonymous $378.00 Club Prior Amy Olson $2,500.00 Memorial Bench Calibre Press - In Kind Donation $495.00 Access to Police training website Culvers Prior Lake - In Kind Donation $250.00 100 free scoop tokens for the Park Passport Program PLAY - In Kind Donation $893,150.00 Miracle Field at Thomas Ryan Park Scooters Coffee Prior Lake - In Kind Donation $1,000.00 250 coupons for free kids drinks to distribute at the Muddy Buddy Run NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1.The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2.City staff is authorized to amend the budget to comply with grant agreements and restrictivedonations.3.The grants and donations are hereby officially accepted and acknowledged with gratitude to the donors.
