RESOLUTION 26-018 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENTS WITH CREDIT RIVER AND SPRING LAKE TOWNSHIP TO PROVIDE FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICES Motion By: Hellier Second By: Churchill
WHEREAS, Credit River and Spring Lake Township are authorized by law to provide fire protection for all the property in said city and township; and WHEREAS, the City of Prior Lake owns fire apparatus and equipment generally consistent with nationally recognized standards and employs fire fighter trained for the purpose of providing suppression and rescue services; and WHEREAS, the existing agreement with Credit River and Spring Lake Township has a term of January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2030; and WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
paragraph 4 of the agreement describes how payment methods will be calculated
for each of the parties and includes a list of future substantial equipment purchases; and
an amendment is needed to the agreement to include the purchase of a new ladder truck in 2027. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute the First Amendment to Agreements for Fire and Rescue Services with Credit River and Spring Lake Township. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 10th day of February 2026. VOTE Briggs Braid Churchill Lake Hellier
