RESOLUTION 26-050 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A WORK ORDER FOR THE PREPRATION OF A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE PROPOSED 170TH STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN THE ANNEXATION AREA (2027-05)
Motion By: Braid Second By: Churchill WHEREAS, the city seeks to urbanize 170th Street from Marschall Road (CSAH 17) to Baseline Avenue (CASH 79) following the successful annexation of the area that exists west of the current City limits; and WHEREAS, this project will also require the extension of water and sewer facilities, as well as a plan for stormwater management in the area; and WHEREAS, a feasibility report is needed to determine the best options for construction and financing for this project; and WHEREAS, WSB LLC, a member of the city’s consultant pool, has submitted a proposal in the amount of $122,370 to provide engineering services that include a topographic survey, geotechnical services, and the prepration of a feasibility report for this proposed project; and WHEREAS, city staff recommend approving the work order at this time. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The Council hereby orders the preparation of the feasibility report for the 170th Street Improvement Project (2027-05).
3. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a work order with WSB LLC in the amount of $122,370 for the preparation of a feasibility report for the proposed 170th Street improvements in the annexation area.
4. The funding for this work order will come from the trunk fund. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 24th day of March 2026. VOTE Briggs Braid Churchill Lake Hellier
