AGENDA ITEM: Amendment to City Council Liaison Appointments
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve an amendment to the City Council liaison appointments that were previously approved
on January 13, 2026.
BACKGROUND:
Mayor Briggs and Councilmember Lake have requested that Mayor Briggs be appointed to the
SCALE Executive Committee liaison assignment that is currently being filled by Councilmember
Lake. To be consistent with the City Council Bylaws it is necessary for the City Council to approve
this amendment to the City Council liaison appointments.
1. SCALE Executive Committee: Amend to remove Councilmember Victor Lake and
replace with Mayor Briggs for the remainder of 2026.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Per meeting payments are budgeted and paid by the City to reimburse city councilmembers for
attendance at these meetings. The change in attendee at these meetings will have no impact on
the city budget.
ALTERNATIVES:
1. Motion and second as part of the consent agenda to approve the amendment to the City
Council liaison appointments.
2. Motion and second to remove the amendment to the City Council liaison appointments
from the consent agenda for additional discussion.
