A RESOLUTION APPROVING PRIOR LAKE POLICE TO ENTER INTO A GRANT
AGREEMENT WIH THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
Motion By: Braid Second By: Hellier
WHEREAS, the Prior Lake Police Department wishes to enter into an agreement with the
Minnesota Department of Public Safety, for traffic safety enforcement projects
during the period from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027 ; and
WHEREAS, the grant being offered is part of the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety's
Towards Zero Deaths (TZD) campaign; and
WHEREAS, Prior Lake Police has access to obtain $12,400 in 2027 as part of this grant
agreemet to be allocated to various traffic enforcement initatives .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE,
MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein.
2. The City Council approves the Prior Lake Police Department to enter ino the Minnesota
Office of Traffic Saftey’s towards zero dealth (TZD) Campagin.
Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 27th day of October 2026.
