CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
October 13, 2026
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Briggs called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present were Councilors Braid, and Hellier.
Absent: Churchill. Also in attendance were City Manager Wedel, Police Chief Duggan, and City
Clerk Simon in attendance.
2. PUBLIC FORUM
Nina Resler, 16872 Peregrine Cir. SW: On the Eve of 10/3 gun shots fired on Willow Lane SW,
have audio from resident who lives 3 houses away. (Audio played from personal cell phone over
speaker) Expected police to release a public statement, nothing was released. Incident occurred
very close to Five Hawks Elementary. Lack of info from Prior Lake Police is disappointing. In fu-
ture, hope incidents as such are treated with more transparency.
Wedel: Thank you for comments, imagine it was very concerning. City is trying to navigate the ap-
propriate level of response per event. This incident created no public safety concern as the per-
son was apprehended immediately.
