MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL ... ~
FRANK BOYLES, CITY MANAGE;W
MINUTES
JULY 15, 1998
The minutes for the July 6, 1998 meeting will be distributed on Friday, July 18 with the
Weekly Information Update. The City Council will receive three versions of the minutes
for your review:
1. A 46 page version which is very close to a transcription of the meeting proceedings.
2. A 23 page version which is similar in format and content to the minutes which we
have been preparing.
3. A shortened version of the minutes which attempts to focus more upon the Council
actions and rationale for those actions.
I am seeking City Council direction on the various minute formats. It is important that the
entire City Council and the City Attorney be comfortable with the minutes. Accordingly,
if further refmement of the minutes is necessary, a subcommittee could finalize the effort.
