HomeMy WebLinkAbout7B - Day of Prayer Proclamation 4646 Dakota Street S.E. Prior Lake, MN 55372-1714 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT MEETING DATE: AGENDA #: PREPARED BY: April 16, 2007 ADDITION Frank Boyles, City Manager AGENDA ITEM: PROCLAMATION DECLARING MAY 3, 2007, AS NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER IN PRIOR LAKE. PRESENTATION: Since 1996, the National Day of Prayer has been observed in Prior Lake through proclamation of the Mayor. . Churches and communities throughout the State participate in this day through various celebrations, prayer vigils, and other similar events organized to provide education, fellowship and leadership. In Prior Lake, Connie Perrin is once again organizing the event. This year, Lakefront Park Pavilion will again be the site of a community prayer service on May 3, from 7 - 8 p.m. All Prior Lake area residents are invited to attend. In these difficult times of world unrest and increased concern for security at home, it seems appropriate for the Council to endorse the participation of Prior Lake residents in a National Day of Prayer. Attached is a Proclamation, to be read by mayor Haugen, designating May 3, 2007, as National Day of Prayer in Prior Lake. www.cityofpriorlake.com 1:\COUNCIL\AGNRPTS\2006\050106 Da~8&E9~~~~9t Fax 952.447.4245 i I ~ .m o ~,~ .~ ,~ ~ 5 "J"::;;, ,Cj e ..~ ....
