Chief Brent Johnson ~ RE: Purchase of Hurst Tool The fire department's present hurst tool is old and outdated. The fire department received this hurst tool as a hand-me-down from the Scott countr Sheriff's Office approximately 15 years ago. Basically, this p1ece of equipment is worn out and needs to be replaced. The department has looked into the purchase of a new unit. The cost of this unit is approximately $3,450 and an additional $300 will be needed for the cost of new hose needed with this new, more powerful unit. This new unit is a more powerful unit which will accelerate our ability to free victims that are trapped in accident situations. I ac aSkin<J that this piece of equipment be ~urchased out of this years cont1ngency fund. The hurst tool 1S a vital piece of equipment that is needed to continue to provide the best possible public service to the residents of our community. ~ ~~A~ ,1' , ft". ~o IY~ 4629 Dakota St. S.E., Prior Lake, Minnesota 55372 / Ph.
