CONSIDER APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION 90-23
RESTRICTING PARKING ON TOWER STREET AND
TORONTO AVENUE
JUNE 4, 1990
The purpose of this agenda item is to pass a
resolution restricting parking on Tower Street
and Toronto Avenue for Project 90-12.
Staff is preparing final plans for submittal
to MnDOT for approval for Project 90-12 Tower
Street and Toronto Avenue. The proposed
street widths are 32 feet wide. Based upon
MnDOT standards No Parking will be allowed on
the portion designated as MSA. This is the
ring road portion only and not the extension
of Toronto Avenue between the Hollywood Inn
and Priordale Mall.
A No Parking Resolution is required to be
submitted along with the plans and
specifications. Approval of the resolution is
requested so that plan review can proceed.
Staff anticipated that final plans and
specifications will be submitted to the
City Council on June 18, 1990. A copy of
Resolution 90-23 is attached.
The recommendation is to approve Resolution
90-23.
The alternatives are as follows:
1. Approve Resolution #90-23 as submitted.
2. Table this item for a specific reason.
3. Deny approval of Resolution #90-23.
Make a motion as part of the Consent Agenda to
approve Resolution 90-23.
