MICHAEL'S CHURCH DECEMBER 20, 1993 INTRODUCTION: Attached is a letter requesting that St. Michael's Church be granted a temporary 3.2 beer license for their annual New Year's Eve Celebration. BACKGROUND: The celebration will take place on December 31, 1993 at the St. Michael's Community Center. Their dram shop insurance is carried through the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. DISCUSSION: No problems have been recorded in regard to previous temporary licenses issued to St. Michael's Church in the past. The pOlice department reports that there is no public safety related reason for denying the license request. ALTERNATIVES: 1. 2. Approve the temporary 3.2 license for St. Michaels. Deny the license request. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the Council approve the temporary 3.2 Beer License for St. Michael's Church. ACTION REQUIRED: As part of the consent agenda, make a motion to approve the 3.2 temporary beer license for St. Michael's Church.
