HomeMy WebLinkAbout3B - City Manager 1990 Performance Evaluation CONSENT AGENDA: PREPARED BY: SUBJECT: DATE: DISCUSSION: "CELEBRATE PRIOR LAKE'S CENTENNIAL - 1991" 3 (b) CITY MANAGER REVIEW COMMITTEE CONSIDER APPROVAL OF 1990 CITY MANAGER PER- FORMANCE EVALUATION COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS FEBRUARY 4, 1991 On January 25, 1991 Councilmember Larson and Mayor Andren met to consider the City Manager's performance record for calendar year 1990. The evaluations submitted by the Council have an average range of 3.6 (commendable) to 5 (distinguished). Out of a possible score of 80 points, Mr. Unmacht received 68.1, well into the commendable range. The Committee also reviewed the 1990 goals set by individual Councilmembers. In our opinion, Mr. Unmacht has met or is in the process of meeting the goals that are under his direct control and authority. The 1990 evaluation forms along with individual Councilmember's 1991 goals and comments have been given to Mr. Unmacht for his review. We have instructed Mr. Unmacht to prepare a list of personal goals for our review and to assimilate the individual goals of the Council into one summary goals statement. It is our opinion that Mr. Unmacht continues to do an outstanding job as Manager and is a valuable asset to the community. The Performance Evaluation Committee recommends approval of a salary increase based upon our examination and comparison of the following information Composite rankin~ of performance evaluat1ons.
