APRIL 15, 1991
The City Council sold $375,000 General
Obligation Equipment Bonds on February 27,
1991. with the bonds being sold, staff
advertised for competitive bidding for the
following equipment:
TWO (2) TRUCK CAB CHASSIS'
ONE STREET SWEEPER
ONE 1 TON 4 X 4 UTILITY TRUCK
ONE 3/4 TON 4 X 4 PICK UP
In addition, staff solicited quotations for
the following equipment:
ONE S-10 PICK UP
ONE DUMP BODY FOR 1 TON 4 X 4 PICK UP
ONE DUMP BODY FOR CHASSIS CAB
ONE DUMP BODY FOR CHASSIS CAB
PLOW, WING, & SANDER FOR CAB CHASSIS
The bid opening occured on Tuesday, April 9,
at 10:00 A.M. CDT.

Any excess funds left after sales tax and the
purchase of the ambulance and the flusher
(estimated to be $7,500-$10,000) will be used
to purchase new Micro-Fische equipment for
City Hall.
*NOTE-The flusher chassis has been bid but the
flusher itself has not.
1. Approve those items asterisked for purchase
with Equipment Certificates-1991.
2. Do not approve the budgeted items and have
staff re-advertise for bids.
3. Table this item for more favorable bidding
in the future.
4. Reject the bids and do not purchase the new
equipment.
staff recommends Alternative #1.
A motion to approve the purchase of equipment
based on the low bid/quote as part of the
consent agenda is in order.
