CONSIDER APPROVAL OF SALE OF CITY VEHICLES
MAY 20, 1991
The City advertised for sale two 1986
Chevrolet Caprices. Both vehicles were former
police squad cars with high mileage. One was
converted to service by the Building
Inspection Department while the other had been
retained as an unmarked unit.
Sealed bids were solicited for the disposition
of these vehicles as authorized by City Code.
Staff is requesting Council approval of the
highest price offer.
The City opened bids at 10:00 A.M. on Monday
morning May 14, 1991. The following four bids
were received:

Staff would recommend awarding the sale of the
1986 Caprice (# 204) to Ron Wolfram as the
high bidder in the amount of $1,830.00 and the
sale of the second Caprice to Woodside Motors
for $1,428.00
The bids submitted were quite representative
of past sales of the City for comparable model
years, mileage consideration and condition of
the vehicles themselves.
Motion to ap~rove the sales to the above
bidders as indlcated, as part of the consent
agenda would be in order.
