Both vehicles were former police squad cars with high mileage. One was converted to service by the Building Inspection Department while the other had been retained as an unmarked unit. Sealed bids were solicited for the disposition of these vehicles as authorized by City Code. Staff is requesting Council approval of the highest price offer. The City opened bids at 10:00 A.M. on Monday morning May 14, 1991. The following four bids were received: BIDDER 1. Ron Wolfram 4612 Pleasant st. Prior Lake, MN 2. Woodside Motors '86 Caprice 43-29 Crescent st. '86 Caprice Long Island city, NY VEHICLE '86 Caprice '86 Caprice AMOUNT $1830.00 $1428.00 $1428.00 3. Dianne Shoemaker 110 Fuller Street Mankato, MN All bid submissions were accom~anied by a certified or cashier's check ln the full amount offered. '86 Caprice '86 Caprice $1252.00 Staff would recommend awarding the sale of the 1986 Caprice (# 204) to Ron Wolfram as the high bidder in the amount of $1,830.00 and the sale of the second Caprice to Woodside Motors for $1,428.00 The bids submitted were quite representative of past sales of the City for comparable model years, mileage consideration and condition of the vehicles themselves.
