HomeMy WebLinkAbout4F - City Council Directives Report AGENDA ITEM: DISCUSSION: ALTERNATIVES: RECOMMENDED MOTION: CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT November 15, 1999 ^~ :~ank Boyles, City Manag~ JO) JANUARY - OCTOBER 1999 CITY COUNCIL DIRECTIVES STATUS REPORT Current Circumstances The purpose of this agenda item is to review the status of various items in which the City Council has asked staff to take specific action, and/or provide additional materials or information for Council discussion. In an effort to manage these requests and assure that Council concerns are addressed, the staff maintains a list of "directives". The directives are updated bi-weekly, following City Council meetings, and updates distributed to Councilmembers in the Weekly Update. It is appropriate to also review at least annually, the year-to-date status of each directive. As this point in 1999, the City Council has referred 44 directives to the staff for completion. Of those, a total of 32 are complete, and the remaining 12 are either on-going or underway. Most of the items still underway are the most recent requests. For those items that are incomplete, we have provided an estimated date of completion. In addition, there are four directives remaining from prior years. The Issues If the Council has questions on the staff interpretation of the direction given by the Council, or its present status, the November 15th meeting would be an appropriate time for such a discussion. (1) Approve, as part of the Consent Agenda, the 1999 Directives Report as presented. (2) Amend specific directives as desired and approve amended Directives report. Alternative (1). Motion and second as part of the consent agenda to approve the directives report as presented. 162~~Q!~~~~?'Vh~-f!kP,qf1l?t~dY1fi'f5372-1714 / Ph, (612) 447-4230 / Fax (612) 447-4245 AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER 1999 CITY COUNCIL DIRECTIVES revised 11/9/99 CC Directive Meeting Number Date 8/18/97 97-36 Planning/Public Works Nov.
