Minutes of The Previous Meeting 3. Consent Agenda: a) Consider Approval of Invoices To Be Paid - see attached. b) Consider Approval of a Resolution of Appreciation to Five Hawks School - Resolution 88-56 - Five Hawks School has received an Award of Excellence from the Minnesota Elementary Principal's Association. Last year the Council approved a Resolution commending Westwood Elementary School for receiving this award. See attached Resolution. Mayor Andren will be presentin~ this Resolution to the School at an upcom1ng meeting. Motion as part of the Consent Agenda to approve the Resolution is in order. Consider Approval of a Resolution of Appreciation to Assembly of God Church Resolution 88-57 - see attached Resolution. Mayor Andren and City Manager Unmacht have been invited to attend their dedication ceremonr on Sunday, November 13. The Resolut1on will be presented at that time. Motion as a part of the Consent Agenda to approve the Resolution is in order. Consider Approval of Fire and Rescue Report see attached Report. 4. Consider Appeal of Planning Commission Decision on Marvin Deutsch Lot area Variance see attached Staff report. c) d) 5. Update on Duluth Avenue Property Acquisition Progress - Staff is in the process of finalizing negotiations on the two 4-plex units on Colorado street. Final details are being worked out and an update will be presented to the Council on this project. If the details of the purchase agreement have been completed prior to the meetin~, or are near completion at the time of the meet1ng, Staff may request the City Council to direct the Mayor and City Manager to execute the Purchase Agreement to complete the acquisition of the property. 7. Other Business a) Announcement of League Policy Adoption Meeting November 16, 1988 - On November 16, the LMC will be conducting their Policy Adoption Meeting. Staff has a copy of the 1989 proposed cities Policies and Priorities. The document is 99 pages long, and if anyone is interested, Staff will provide you with a copy. The meeting will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Hotel Sofite1. Preregistration is re~ired, and the cost is $25.00. Please let C1ty Manager Unmacht know at the time of the Council Meeting if you are interested in attending. b) Announcement of MWCC Informational Meeting Breakfast, November 14, 1988 - On November 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the Canterbury Inn an informational meeting will be held with officials of the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission (MWCC) on their Blue Lake waste water treatment plant improvements. Staff will be attending and is seeking any council interest in attending as well. c) Review Audio System Proposals - see attached Staff report. *A11 times stated on the Council Agenda, with the exception of Public Hearings, are approximate and may start a few minutes earlier or later.
