g) Consider Approval to Advertise for Candidates
for the Urban Advisory Committee - The Scott
County Soil and Water Conservation District
(SWCD) has requested that the City Council
nominate someone from the City of Prior Lake
to serve on the Urban Advisory Committee. The
Committee is being expanded to a size of five
or six people. The purpose of the Committee
is to advise the SWCD on its services and
activities within urban or urbanizing areas.
The Committee will be appointed from
nominations received. Nominations must be
sent to the SWCD office before January 31,
1989 as they plan to organize the Committee in
February. Staff contacted John Bisek and
informed him that we could have a

nomination(s) submitted by February 7. Staff
is requesting approval from Council to
advertise in the newspaper for volunteers for
this position. Staff would then place the
item on the Council Agenda for February 6,
1989 to make a nomination to the Committee.
Motion as part of the Consent Agenda is in
order.
h) Consider Approval for Final Payment on Project
87-16 - see attached Staff report.
i) Consider Approval of "The" Trees" Development
Time Extension Request - see attached Staff

j) Consider Approval of Establishing Public
Hearing on Masseuse License Application An
application for a license for the practice of
massage has been received from Dorothy
Kirschner. The application was submitted to
the Police Department who have conducted a
review and filed a report with the City
Manager. In accordance with City Code 3-S-6B,
the next step in the process is to conduct a
public hearing on the application. The
purpose of this item is to schedule a public
hearing on this application for 8:00 p.m. on
February 6, 1989. Motion as part of the
Consent Agenda to approve the scheduling of
the public hearing on the license application
is in order.
k) Consider Approval of Treasurer's Report (to be
distributed at the meeting) .
