4. Update on Park Comprehensive Plan Development
During the recent Workshop an excellent discussion
occurred on the park system in Prior Lake. Because
Staff is in the process of amending the Park
Comprehensive Plan, and because of the extensive
discussion held on the park system, it is
appropriate at this time to have Staff and Council
interact on the development of the Park
Comprehensive Plan.
Staff is seeking further direction from the Council
with relation to park development, park
acquisition, and other items that need to be
reviewed and incorporated into the Park
Comprehensive Plan. Parks and Recreation Director,
Bill Mangan, will be present to provide an update
on the status of the Plan and to receive input from
the City Council to incorporate into the
development of the Plan. The timing of the
Workshop discussion and the status of the Park
Comprehensive Plan development is perfect. Your
input will be critical in the development and
adoption of the upcoming plan. Staff and Council
do not want to lose the momentum created on this
issue.
8:00 p.m. 5. Adjourn to Fire Hall for signing of Township Fire
Contracts - see attached copy of Contract.
