MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
February 21, 1989
The Common Council of the City of Prior Lake met in regular
session on Tuesday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the City Council
Chambers. Present were Mayor Andren, Councilmembers Fitzgerald,
Larson, Scott, White, City Manager Unmacht, and Assistant City
Manager/Economic Development Director Schmudlach.
Mayor Andren called the meeting to order and asked everyone to
rise for the pledge of allegiance.
The minutes of the February 21, 1989 meeting were reviewed by
Council.
MOTION MADE BY SCOTT, SECONDED BY LARSON, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES Minutes
AS SUBMITTED.
Upon a vote taken, ayes by Andren, Fitzgerald, Larson, Scott and
White, the motion passed unanimously.
The next order of business was consideration of the Consent

Upon a vote taken, ayes by Andren, Fitzgerald, Larson, Scott and
White, the motion passed unanimously.
The next order of business was Update on Park Comprehensive Plan Update
Development. Parks and Recreation Director Mangan presented on Park
drawings of several parks located within the City of Prior Lake Comp Plan
and briefly discussed the proposed Park Comprehensive Plan.
Discussion occurred with regard to the current usage and proposed
future plans for Lakefront Park. Discussion also occurred on
having a workshop to discuss the proposed Park Comprehensive
Plan. Council concurred that a workshop should be held for this
purpose, possibly the last week in March or sometime the first
week in April.

Under Other Business the following topics were discussed:
City Manager Unmacht announced that the League of
Minnesota Cities 1989 Legislative Conference would be
held on March 29. Anyone interested in attending should
turn in their reservations to Dee Birch by March 21,
1989.

The next Council meeting will be Monday, March 6, 1989 at 7:30
p.m.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:00
p.m. by general consent of the Council.
