HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-36 HERITAGE 1891 COMMUNITY 1991 19J$% 2Q91 RESOLUTION 90-36 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR PROJECT NO. 89-01 FISH POINT ROAD/TRUNK HIGHWAY 13 MOTIONED BY WHITE SECONDED BY FITZGERALD WHEREAS, ~ursuant to an advertisement for bids for the lmprovement of the Fish Point Road/T.H. 13 intersection improvements by the installation of bituminous surfacing, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, sidewalk, and appurtenant work; bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: CONTRACTORS TOTAL BID $709,851.27 $717,035.55 $799,119.78 $824,904.55 Valley pavinq, Inc. Northwest Asphalt, Inc. Alexander Construction Hardrives, Inc. AND WHEREAS, it appears that Valley pavinq, Inc. of Shakopee, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA, that 1. The Ma~or and city Manager are hereby authorized to enter lnto the attached contract with Valley Paving, Inc. of Shakopee, Minnesota in the name of the City of Prior Lake for the improvement of the Fish Point Road/T.H. 13 intersection improvements contingent upon Minnesota Department of Transportation approval of Cooperative Agreements No. 67239 and No. 67360; by the installation of bituminous surfacing, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, sidewalk, and appurtenant work, 4629 Dakota St. S.E., Prior Lake, Minnesota 55372 / Ph. (612) 447.4230 / Fax (612) 447-4245 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the city Manager. The City Manager is authorized and directed to forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with bids, except that the deposits of the successful and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained a contract has been signed. 2.
