Prior Lake, MN 55372-1714 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT November 5, 2007 5B Frank Boyles, City Mana CONSIDER APPROVAL F C NGE ORDER #6, POLICE STATION AND CITY HALL PROJECT Introduction The purpose of this agenda item is to request Council approval for change order number six for the Police Station/City Hall project. Historv The Police Station/City Hall construction projects are largely done, but the Owner's Representative continues to review change order requests made by Shaw Lundquist during the course of the project. Current Circumstances The attached change order includes nineteen additions to the project and one reduction. Each item has been verified by the Owner's Representative as appropriate. Conclusion The Council should determine whether it wishes to approve this change order request. The process of reviewing change orders will continue. The Owner's Representative has informed us that there is likely to be one more change order request in the approximate amount of $24,000 before the project is closed out. A total of $11,407,800 was earmarked for construction costs including contingency. To date the base bid and change orders one through five amounts to $11,346,020. The addition of this $37,997 change order brings the construction costs to $11,384,017. Once the last change order has been finalized, we will bring it to the City Council together with a reconciliation of the entire project. The Owner's Representative believes that the total cost, with all change orders, will be at or below the total funds budgeted. 1.
