RE: Temporary Sign Violation
To Whom It May Concern:
On March 14, 1997 a temporary sign permit was issued to Collen Hurlbert, on behalf of
St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School. Enclosed is a copy of the application and site
plan. The City issued the permit on the basis of the size of the sign and the location, as
indicated on the site plan.
It appears that the sign is in the right-of-way ofTH. 13. As indicated in the sign
ordinance, and on the permit issued to Collen, the minimum required setback is 10 feet
from the property line.
This serves as your notice of violation of Section 5-7-5 of the City Code (attached). The
City has a deposit of $1 00.00 from the church to ensure the sign meets the requirements
of city ordinances. Please contact the Planning Department when the sign has been
located to a legal location (setback 10 feet). lfno action has been taken by Friday, March
28, 1997, the City will take further action, including the use of your deposit to remove the
non-conforming sign from the right-of-way.
