MINUTES OF THE LAKE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
July 19, 2000
I. CALL TO ORDER
The Lake Advisory Committee (LAC) meeting began at 6:35 p,m. Members present: Kate
Haggerty, Lauren Huntington and Roger Soderstrom. Members absent: Marianne
Breitbach, Chuck Gerlach and Rick Warner.
II. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES FOR THE MAY 17, AND JUNE 21,
A quorum was not available at the meeting; therefore, the previous meeting minutes were
not approved.
III. PROPOSED NO-PHOSPHORUS ORDINANCE
The committee discussed the proposed no-phosphorus ordinance that was handed out.
The question came up as to why the pesticide requirements were in the ordinance. Leichty
said that he would check this out further and remove it from the ordinance if it was a
redundant rule.
The other major point of discussion was the license fee to be charged for commercial
applicators. The purpose of the ordinance is not to raise money. The consensus was that a
fee of $50 to $75 per year for each business would be sufficient. The additional charge for
extra company vehicles was also dropped from the license fee.
V. NEW BUSINESS
There was no new business.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting ended at 7:11 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
---
