MINUTES OF THE LAKE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
October 20, 1999
I. CALL TO ORDER
Members present: Kate Haggerty, Roger Soderstrom and Paul Trapp. Others present:
Dale Braddy and Lani Leichty. Members absent: Marianne Breitbach..
II. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES
A quorum was not present at the October meeting to approve any official business.
III. DISCUSS COMPREHENSIVE LAKE MANAGEMENT PLAN (CLMP)
The committee discussed scheduling in order to hold a public informational meeting about
the CLMP in the near future. There was a concern about holding the meeting to soon,
especially since the Lake Advisory Committee is currently short three official members. A
public informational meeting in November would not allow new members, assuming that
they would be selected by that time, an opportunity to become familiar with the CLMP.
Those present decided that it would be best to invite all of the past participants who helped
formulate the plan to the December 15th meeting. The draft CLMP would be mailed out in
advance so that the December meeting could center around questions and comments
about the proposed plan. A public informational meeting, after being announced in the
local paper, could possibly be held on February 16th, 2000..
There was a suggestion that in order to get as many past participants to the December
meeting, that a meal be provided to those in attendance.
Trapp suggested that we invite someone from the Citizen Lake Monitoring Program of the
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to participate in the remaining meetings to also provide
input into the plan.
IV. NEW BUSINESS
There was no new business.
