CALL TO ORDER: The Lake Advisory Committee meeting was called to order on Wednesday, July 19, 1995 at 6:37 p.m. Members present were: Chair Jody Stroh, Marianne Breitbach, Doug Larson, Rick Warner and Tom Watkins. Others present were Water Resources Coordinator Lani Leichty. Members absent were: Tom Kearney and Bill Packer. n. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: The first item on the Agenda was to approve the Minutes of the meeting of June 21, 1995. MOTION BY WATKINS, SECONDED BY LARSON TO APPROVE THE JUNE 21, 1995 MINUTES. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. m. SURFACE WATER USE DISCUSSION: Discussion occurred amongst the LAC as to the productiveness of the meeting with Scott County Sheriff Bill Nevin. Leichty was asked check upon the status of the violation reports which are submitted to the City from the Sheriff s department. Breitbach showed the committee a copy of personal watercraft laws which she received from the DNR while boating in a northern lake in Minnesota. It is a waterproof sticker summarizing personal watercraft laws. Leichty will contact the Sheriff to see if they have access to these stickers so that parole officers could use them to hand out while patrolling Prior Lake. Watkins agreed to contact Sheriff Nevin to see how things were going as far as his proposed meeting to talk to Dave Wagner about implementing the policies and procedures as outlined in the surface water ordinance. MOTION BY WATKINS, SECONDED BY LARSON FOR WATKINS TO CONTACT SHERIFF BILL NEVIN. MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. IV. 1995 EURASIAN MILFOIL MANAGEMENT PLAN: Warner mentioned that he had talked to two divers about diving to inspect eurasian milfoil . in areas that had been treated to see the effectiveness of the chemical at the root of the plant. the areas that were treated on June 13th, 1995 for eurasian milfoil. Watkins, Stroh and Leichty agreed to set up a luncheon with Jim Riccioli of the Prior Lake American to see if he would do an article on the status of eurasian milfoil treatment and what can be treated with regards to the DNR's rules. Leichty will talk to City Manager Frank Boyles about getting the $2,500 per year funding into the budget for future treatment of milfoil as shown in the 1995 Eurasian Milfoil Management Plan. V. DISCUSSION OF THE PUBLIC ACCESS INFORMATIONAL MEETING: Leichty mentioned that at the August 7th council meeting that there were two public accesses to be discussed: Quaker Trail and Pine Road. 16200 Eagle Creek Ave., Prior Lake, Minnesota 55372-1714 / Ph. STORM SEWER INLET INVENTORY: The rescheduled date for the inventory inspection will take place in September and the exact time will be set at the August meeting. vn.
