DONE Steve and Mak to check with Al on policy of using “Leash/Pick Up” signs along trails. WILL INSTALL SIGNS AS REQUESTED Steve to check on development requirements for stop sign placement to be consistent with resident requests. WILL INSTALL STOP SIGN ON INTERSECTING STREET ONLY, NOT ALL WAY STOP. THIS IS CONSISTENT WITH DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS. New Issues: Hummingbird Trail/Bluebird Trail: Requesting 3-way stop at intersection. Currently there is a “Stop” sign on Hummingbird but would like to see a 3-way stop. Site line and school bus stop makes it dangerous for children. Unable to obtain traffic count due to snow and chances of snow. Also need to do site survey to determine site distance. 14075 Hidden View Road: Requesting “Children at Play” signs be installed. A particular resident is a speeder and dangerous driver. Explained to her the City’s policy regarding the signs (City does not install). Would recommend additional enforcement. Fish Point Road/Cottonwood: Requesting a 4-way stop at intersection. States it is unsafe for pedestrian to cross street. There may be issues with fire and police department. Checked accident report, per Sondra Baar no accidents in the last 12 months. Unable to perform traffic count due to snow, assume counts would not justify installation of stop signs. 14364 Rutgers: Inquiring about “No Parking” signs on Rutgers. Streets are crowded with cars on both sides and backing out of driveways are very difficult. Council resolution allows for parking on both sides if the width is 32’ or greater. Per Nate width of roadway is 32’ with bituminous curb, will need to field verify. Fairlawn Shores: Requesting “Stop” signs at intersections with Fairlawn Shores from 150th to Fish Point Road. Fairlawn Shores is striped with double yellow line down the center. There are no signs at intersecting streets except Shannon Trail. Site survey and signing around area shows there should be stop or yield signs. Julie Erickson: 4572 Parkwood Dr. (612)578-7077 Request for “Deaf & Blind Child Area” sign. Just moved into Prior Lake. Also requesting site survey and remediation for intersection of Toronto Ave. and Parkwood Dr. Requested verification from her and would need to talk to Brad about ordering sign. Will let her know when it is installed. Breezy Point Road: Request for No Parking on one side of the street at the end of Breezy Point where the roadway width is 20’. 14150 Aspen Ave. (Paul Berndt): Requesting 3 way stop at Aspen Ave. and Cedarwood Trail. States there are excessive speed and carelessness. He would also like to present or attend the meeting if possible. Other Business/Handouts: Speed limit sign on CR 83? County is waiting to do a speed study before changing the location of the sign. Next Meeting: January–TBD (Seng) @ Maintenance Center Conf. Rm
