Review Agenda
Issues:
1. Willows Beach Area (the aftermath!)
Residents do not like the new no parking arrangements.
Many residents are blocking mailboxes and driveways. Should we make changes?
Another complaint was that there were not enough signs and the signs are ambiguous. I do recommend that
there be more signs installed.
Trees obstruct sight distance problem at Willow Beach Street/Trail intersection. See pictures.
2. No Parking signs along Candy Cove Trail
Request
was for no parking signs on both sides of Candy Cove Trail to eliminate the parking by the beach by members and non-members. See resident responses.
3. No Parking signs in the Captain
Jack’s Neighborhood
See map for proposed sign locations. Had neighborhood meeting in evening and there were no attendees. Have received three responses:
a. Dutch Ave.-Has not been
happy with change in parking. There is an RV that parks there all the time and obstructs her view of the lake. She does support keeping no parking signs on east side of Dutch.
b.
Spring Ave.-Opposed to no parking changes on Spring Ave. It has never been problem and would like parking to remain on both sides.
c. Dunkirk Ave.-Very happy with no parking changes
(no parking on his side)
4. Five Hawks/Priorwood Intersection
Scott O. feels this is a dangerous intersection, people speed down the hill. The worst times are from 3pm-7pm. He is also concerned about a
blind driveway and is requesting a crosswalk. See traffic counts and pictures.
5. Birchwood/Shady Beach Trail Intersection
Dave Manning is requesting a stop or yield sign at this
intersection. He feels it is unsafe. See traffic counts and pictures.
6. “No Parking with Trailers” signs are missing on Shady Beach Trail
Harry Alcorn states that the signs are
missing and would like them put back up from Birchwood to dead end.
7. Tower Street
Why are “No Parking” signs on north side of road? Richard Coverdale would like the signs moved
to the other side because it is parking for those units, not his apartment buildings and the cars are blocking his vacancy signs.
8. Jessica Thielen-Red Oaks Road
She has requested
speed humps to be installed on Red Oaks Road. I have sent her some speed hump information and told her we would be working on speed hump policy. The road is under construction and
I cannot get accurate traffic counts or speeds. Spoke with Jack Haugen; he feels this is a neighborhood issue.
9. Grainwood Circle/CR 21
Vehicles are parking on Grainwood and are
limiting the sight distances for turning left onto CR 21. There are currently no parking signs on both sides of the road.
10. Speeding on 150th Street
Two dogs have been killed because
of speeding and lack of sight distance over hill. Resident is requesting to lower speed limit. I told her that would not solve her problem. (85th percentile speed is 41.62 mph) Have
we gotten more enforcement out there? What else?
11. No Parking Vehicles with Trailers signs along Todd Road
Requested by Jim Peterson. Would like to allow resident/guest parking
on one side of the road.
