Speed Limit sign at CR 83 and Wilds Path - Steve County to look at removing or moving 50mph sign along CR83. CR83 is on 2005 County speed study list. Prior Lake would like speed study to wait, but County said it is long overdue. County will look at moving the speed limit sign because it is currently in the right turn lane. 2. Stop Sign at Maves Trail and 150th Street Concerned there is high vehicle speeds and lots of cross traffic. Requesting stop sign to slow vehicles down. Committee declined this request. The stop sign should not be used as a speed control device. The stop sign will only move the traffic from 150th to other smaller streets causing additional problems because residents will avoid the unnecessary stop sign. The police will increase enforcement along 150th. 3. Stop Sign or speed bump request along Willowwood Street Concerned about speeding vehicles and lots of children in the area. Has noted that between 4-7pm is the worst time. The police will increase enforcement along Willowwood Street and will put up speed display, would be best to enforce during 4pm-7pm. Engineering will do traffic counts with speeds tracking to see what the totals are. 4. Safety of Mailbox locations for Edinborough neighborhood See letter and email. PO vehicle should be treated as a parked car on any residential street, cars should pass with care. This is done on every residential road in Prior Lake and is not an issue for the TSC to review. If the postmaster is concerned about their safety, this should be discussed with their supervisor. The City does not stripe residential roads. 5. No Outlet sign request for Eagle Ridge Cars could think they are heading to CR 83. Street name does not indicate cul-de-sac. I recommend we install sign. TSC recommends to install sign. 6. No Outlet sign request for Crimson Court Neighborhood appears to use street as a playground. There are two basketball hoops facing the street, so that play would only be on the street and there are baseball bases painted on the street in the cul-de-sac. Street name indicates it is not a thru street. Mak to send letter explaining that we will install the sign but the basketball hoops and painted baseball diamond must be removed from City right of way prior to the installation. Other Business/Handouts: Mak to contact Bill prior to TSC meetings so that police can put up speed display and do some enforcement of the area for speeding issues TSC recommends that police dept. adds the recording data capabilities/computer to the speed display Bryan suggested creating a flyer to residents about speeding Next Meeting: July 27th, 2005 @ 3:15pm
