The Traffic Safety Committee met on May 20th, 2010. The items below are action items recommended by the committee.
Sand Point Beach Parking Issues
Staff
to bring agenda item to allow re-striping of Crest Avenue in conjunction with regular striping maintenance in 2010. (Eng)
Re-stripe Crest Avenue to allow parking on south east side of
Crest Avenue (PW)
Shady Beach Trail Parking Petition
Install “No Parking” signage on south side (resident side) past Sand Point Beach park access off of Shady Beach Trail. (PW)
Shady
Beach Trail Parking Safety at Intersection of Shady Beach and Conroy
Install “No Parking” signage on inside of curve just north of driveway at 14041 Shady Beach Trail. (PW)
Lake Haven
at Northwood Road Parking at Intersection
Enforcement of parking near intersection (Police)
Grainwood Circle No Parking
Install “No Parking” signage on all of Grainwood Circle including
the loop. (PW)
Wildwood No Parking Removal
Measure the pavement width on Wildwood, if over 24 feet remove parking on one side. (Eng – Done 28 ft width remove on East Side)
Remove
no parking signs on east side of Wildwood. (PW)
Duluth Avenue No Parking
Install “No Parking in Driveway” signage at 16300 Duluth. (PW)
Speed Issue on Wilds Ridge Road at Wilds
Overlook
Additional enforcement (Police)
Set up speed wagon (Police)
Staff to recommend traffic calming device options for the area. (Eng)
Staff to review golf cart crossing with the
Wilds. (Eng)
Staff to perform additional speed studies at this location. (Eng)
This issue will be reviewed again by the TSC once these items are completed.
