Hi Dave,
I can't thank you enough for your help in resolving my Mediacom issue. The same nasty supervisor that I talked to early last
week (Charles), called again today and was very friendly. They did go back to the recorded conversation from last year and
found the Mediacom rep did not disclose rate or surcharge increases for the second year of my contract. A retention services
rep told me today my contract would have actually gone up $25.00, plus the $5.00 surcharge on March 30th. Thanks to you,
I'll pay me same rate with taxes and surcharges for the next year. I owe you! I would put a letter in the Prior Lake American
thanking you, but I fear your full time job would become resolving Mediacom disputes.
Thanks again,
Jane LaPorte

Hi Dave,
A representative from MediaCom called me on Friday on my home phone. Unfortunately, I was not home at the time. They
did to leave a specific number to call back. Not sure who to contact at this point. Is it possible to have the local rep call me on
my cell phone?
Thanks again,
Jane LaPorte

Jane,
My contact says she will pass on your email to customer service and someone will be in contact with you. This is not the
response I was hoping for. Please keep me in the loop. Be sure to keep good notes. I am interested in the name of the
person that calls, their title, where their office is and their solution.
Thanks for your help

Subject: Mediacom Issue
Hi Dave,
Thanks for the call today. Medicom issue is as follows:
On March 30, 2015, I contacted Mediacom to disconnect my service and move to another provider for more favorable rates. I
was connected to Mediacom’s “retention services” where the representative “Tim”put together pricing to keep my
business. I entered into a 2‐Year agreement that bundled cable, phone, and internet for $133.00 a month (plus taxes). This
bundled price included existing services and hardware. The pricing would remain the same for for 2‐years with no increase.
My February 2016 bill arrived and the bundled rate had increased in price. I was told this was do to a “surcharge” that is not
part of the 2‐year contract. I was also told that on my one year anniversary, the bundle rate would go up another $15.00. The
representative stated that even if the original Mediacom representative did not inform me of these charges, I would still be
obligated to pay. I see this as a bait and switch tactic and feel Mediacom must fulfill their end of the contract.
