5/12 Neighborhood Meeting Notes/Results
We had 14 attend out the 250 that were notified of this meeting. I think the meeting went well last
night. Greg was a rock star! He was able to answer any question they threw at us. Believe me we had
some “interesting” ones that had nothing to do with the park. Jason (chair of the PAC) also did a great
job explaining what the PAC is and their role in the process. He also helped support staff on points on ice
rinks and other park amenities. Yes, I did say ice rinks. A gentleman there really wants a neighborhood
rink. We explained that green space could be used in the winter for an ice rink if we have it in the
budget to flood. We all explained the survey and what we did this past winter with the pleasure rinks
and the underutilization that has occurred with the rinks. With all that said we did not guarantee an ice
rink to him but others in the room concurred that green space would be an important part of this park.
We are using the input received by these 14 residents. The rest of the 200+ will have to go along with it
also. They will have one more opportunity on 6/2 to speak up. I am working on the letter, to go out on
Monday, 5/16, inviting everyone to the June 2nd meeting at city hall.
Here are the results and comments from last night:

Comments from comment cards:
Resident in the cul-de-sac are concerned with parking.
Is landscape and signage included in the park budget?
Not opposed to a hockey rink
No High enclosed part of playsets
Add a splash pad in Prior Lake somewhere (we told them this could not go in the Eagle Brook
Park)
Basketball, tennis and green space is most important after play equipment of course.
Put path around the park with no exercise equipment
It’s a secluded area, don’t want any nonsense at night.
Parking and properties being used as access to park, wood chip a path off of Credit River Rd.
Don’t want anything right in my back yard
Not enough room for a hockey rink, dude let the rink go!
Please consider green space for a potential rink in the winter and field for neighborhood kids to
play baseball, football, lacrosse, kites, etc. tin the warm months.
Thank you for the rink consideration. I will gauge more interest from the neighborhood before
June 2nd
