14 January 2016 Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 5:05 pm by Gina.

Approval of November 2015 meeting minutes: Motion by Linda; 2nd by Janine
Old Business:
Linda advised the committee that the new ISD 191 superintendent Dr. Terri Stalach was invited to attend
an advisory committee meeting.
HS staff apparently does not support nomination of the student representative because of inclusive issues
with continuation of policy of nominating a NHS member. Committee members will ask students they
know and feel would contribute as committee members.
Several existing Distracted Driving `tents' were found on line. Funding to order them will be discussed.
Discussed council goals for CSAC during 2016.
New Business:
Driving of pilings and concrete work for the trail barrier along Hwy 13 near 150th will continue during the
winter. Discussed the proposed Curfew Ordnance, no changes were recommended by the CSAC.
Randy mentioned the Polar Plunge sponsored by law enforcement to benefit Special Olympics is
scheduled for Saturday, 20 February 2016 at Sand Pointe Park. Randy also mentioned that Chief Elliot
will conduct a presentation at Club Prior on 26 January reviewing driver strategies for roundabouts and
also discussion of internet and phone fraud.
