RESOLUTION 25-008 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A WORK ORDER FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE NORTH WATER TOWER REHABILITATION PROJECT (2026-06) Motion By: Hellier Second By: Churchill
WHEREAS, the north water tower was constructed in 1988 and last reconditioned in 2004; and WHEREAS, An inspection performed by KLM Engineering, Inc. in 2017 recommended reconditioning the tower within 5-7 years; and WHEREAS, KLM Engineering, Inc., a member of the City’s consultant pool, has provided a proposal in the amount of $141,734 to provide the design, bidding administration, construction administration, and inspection services for the water tower rehabilitation project; and WHEREAS, the 2026 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) includes $1,810,000 for this project; and WHEREAS, staff recommend approving the work order with KLM to perform this work. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PRIOR LAKE, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated herein. 2. The City Council approves a work order with KLM Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $141,734 to perform engineering services for the north water tower rehabilitation project.
3. This project will be funded by the 2026 CIP, which includes $1,810,000 for this project. Passed and adopted by the Prior Lake City Council this 28th day of January, 2025. VOTE Briggs Braid Churchill Lake Hellier Aye ☐ ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒
